Yoga PSychology - A PAth to Mental Health

The Yoga of Emotions - Program

Yoga, has per Patainjali's definition, as its aim the "extinguishing of all mental disturbances.' (Cita Vritti Niroddha). As such its practices of asanas, pranayama, sdhana, kiirtan and so are all contributing factors to developing a healthy, joyful and content mind.

Many of the social issues we see in the society today are caused by distorted minds, people who are caught up in addictive and destructive behavior, leaders who exploit the fears and desires of their people.
Yoga practices can lead to greater mental health, and as such are being applied by more and more psychologists around the world.

The Neohumanist Institute Taiwan offers a teacher training program which consists of three levels:

1. Introductory course for self-discovery
2. the intermediate course helps you apply the practices in educational settings.
3. The advanced course focuses on the application in counseling and therapy.
